Children Activities at the Watershed

Children of all ages benefit from being physically active and it is important for good physical and mental health, development and overall well being. Here at The Watershed, we provide a number of all-inclusive activites for children by partnering with schools for activity programmes and by providing an extensive children's swim lesson programme, access to multi-activity camps and swim camps and teen gym sessions.

Swim Skills Camps

Our Swim Skills Camp Programme is the ideal way for your child to learn, practise and maintain swim skills when not attending lessons, for example during the school holidays. They are based on the same syllabus taught in the corresponding level of our group lessons Levels 1 to 5 and are for school-going children aged five and over.

Adventure World Camps

Adventure World have been bringing their hugely popular and exciting Multi-activity Camp programme to The Watershed since Easter 2023.  Check out some of the fun to be had at Adventure World in their YouTube Video. Note: activities will vary according to camp location.

Birthday Parties

Looking for a fun, stress free birthday party for your child?  Then look no further!  We are the perfect location for children’s parties – a simple, cost effective, 'no fuss' option, with lots and lots of space and fun activities for children to enjoy.  Come and party with us for the perfect celebration!

Children’s Lessons

We have the one of the largest children’s group swimming lesson programmes in the south east and our lessons are extremely popular.  Our team of swim teachers specialise in teaching children to swim and take immense pride in bringing swimmers who join as complete novices through each programme level as they grow into skilful and proficient young swimmers. 

School Tours

Did you know that The Watershed Sports & Leisure Complex is the perfect venue to host a School Tour? Kilkenny also offers many other attractions that children can both learn from and enjoy – a joint tour with Castlecomer Discovery Park and/or Dunmore Caves for example, could make for a special day.
