Pool Facilities

Swimming is an exceptional activity for improving both physical and mental health and fitness and overall well-being. Come and take a dip in our spacious light filled swimming pools where the water and air temperatures are expertly controlled and the water quality is guaranteed by one of the most advanced filtration systems in use in Ireland today. 

The movable floor in our main pool is operated by an advanced hydraulic system that that increases and decreases the depth of our main pool according as required. We provide swimming lessons for all city and country schools under the Primary syllabus. In addition, we also offer our own group lessons to both children and adults all year round as well our Swim Skills Camps during the school holiday periods.

In addition to our main pool we also have a separate learner/recovery pool and a toddler fun pool can be accessed. The fun pool is a firm favourite with our youngest customers who love the mini-slide, fountain and mushroom water features.

Just off the main pool area, our health suite is located which is where customers over 16 years of age can access our Sauna and Steam Room facilities, our Jacuzzi is currently temporarily out of service. We also supply cold filtered water and an ice cold shower for our customers’ comfort in this area.  

Our pool changing village contains separate group changing areas for both male and female groups and numerous single user and family changing cubicles. Personal belongings can be stored in lockers operated by a refundable coin system and there are numerous pre and post swim showers. Highchairs are available for our customers’ to use to keep babies and toddlers safe while parents are changing.

• 5m learner pool (depth 0.8m)

• Health Suite with Steam Room, Jacuzzi, Ice Cold Shower and cold filtered Water Fountain (currently unavailable)

• Wheelchair accessible changing room and pool side hoist
• Coin operated lockers

Our Pools

Our Pool complex is home to Kilkenny Swim Club and Water Safety Kilkenny and also our Watershed Swimming Lessons and Swim Skills Camps. Please note: You do not need to book for swimming sessions. Please refer to our timetable to find out availability.
